Your satisfaction is important to us. To ensure the best possible printing results, we check all print data for certain criteria as soon as we receive your order.
You can select between the free basic data check and the extended professional data check.
Basic data check
With the basic data check, that is included automatically and free of charge with every order, we test the general printability of your print data and check the file for the following factors:
Format: Do the format and size match the product/material ordered? Are there any deviations that lead to distortions/cut-outs of the image subject?
File format: Does the file have the correct format? Has a printable PDF file been uploaded?
Trim: Are there any trims required for the product/material selected? If the trimming is missing or too small, the subject is automatically mirrored.
Password protection: Has the PDF file been password-protected to prevent it from being printed?
Number of pages: Does the number of pages in the print file match the number of pages in the product ordered? Have too many/too few pages been delivered?
Special colours: Are any technical colours included that are not intended for digital printing? (cut or fold lines; white print)
Fonts: Are all fonts included fully embedded in the print file?
NOTE: The resolution is not checked. However, if the resolution is too low, the image display may be blurred or pixelated. If you are unsure whether
your data is of sufficient quality, we recommend the professional data check.
Professional data check
The professional data check, that can be selected as an option with every order, involves also checking your print data by our print specialists for the following potential sources of error.
Resolution: Does the file have the required resolution? Is the resolution selected too low for the product ordered?
Distance: Are any text/graphic elements too close to the edge? Have the elements been placed in the fabrication area?
Font size: Do the texts have a certain minimum size? Does selecting font sizes that are too small affect readability?
Blank pages: Does the file contain any blank pages? Is the print template empty and is the content completely missing?
Grooving/creasing line: Have groove/creasing lines been created by mistake? Are the markings required for further processing and/or finishing?
